Recognizing Risk

Since our last team safety meeting I have been paying a lot more attention to the things I do day to day. One of the biggest things that I noticed lately is at the office whenever I go up or down the stairs I always maintaining 3 points of contact. However at home I don’t seem to ever have 3 points of contact.

The other thing I noticed was when doing the dishes, I normal put all the food left on the plates down the garbage disposal.  While doing this the food that doesn’t go down by itself or from the help of the water I push in with my hand.  Although I know that I never put my hand in far enough to hit the disposal, there is always the possible I could. I have started using a rubber scrapper to aide in the process of push the down the garbage disposal.
