Framing Jobsite Safety

The subdivision next to my house is slowly being built out.  The lot directly next to mine has a home being built on it right now, by a small volume builder.  Today, the crane showed up, to fly trusses.  Unfortunately, the builder was helping to set the trusses, up on top of the walls, woithout any PPE (fall protection, hard hat, etc.).  A gust of wind came along, and the builder lost his balance, and fell the 9' to the ground, on his back.  The two framers helping at the site called emergency services.

There is a reason for safety, and safe practices.  When those are neglected or avoided, there are sometimes sad outcomes.  The builder was transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation.
