Travel ToolKit; Recognizing Risks

As Aaron posted, there was apower outage at our hotel Thursday night.  When I arrived at the hotel to pack my bag for checking out, I also noticed that the glow sticks were scattered around.  When I approached the front desk, the hotel staff were issuing disposable flashlights as well.

I overheard the following:

"How do I turn this glowstick off, when I get to my room?"
"Is it OK to use the elevator?"
"Please give me a wake up call at 6:15 tomorrow morning"

So, I didn't have to use a 'flashlight' app on my phone to get to my room on the 6th floor, but used the flashlight.  Usually, when I am going to a NextPhase implementation, I pack a 'headlamp' flashlight, for hands free illumination.  Taking a risk by assuming that I will not need it during other travel became quite obvious last night.  That item will go back into the bag, full-time.
