Both my parents and my brother live in semi-rural communities which have a lot of deer. I had not known November was the worst month for car vs. deer crashes but I thought I'd share this article with tips on the subject.

This is the first November my niece and nephew have had their driver's licenses so I ensured they saw this as well.
Since this article I've already had one near miss at dusk and seeing one in the back of a Police\Animal Control vehicle being tended to.
ReplyDeleteI reread the suggestions and there was one thing I could have done differently during my near miss. I could have had my high beams on. And now that I know that is a dear crossing area I can drive it slower and more cautiously.
