Vehicle Inspections

Normally when we talk about checking the car, it's about picking up a rental or prior to a long driving trip.  I ran into another situation which double checking the vehicle is appropriate.  I took my pickup in for regular service (oil, oil filter, tire rotation and air filters) over the weekend.  When I got back in the vehicle I notice the seat was pretty far out of adjustment for me and correcting that distracted me from noticing the fact the hood was not entirely closed.  I noticed that a couple of blocks away.  I had not gotten up to speed fortunately and even then the secondary catch was still in place.  Still, when your vehicle has been serviced it's a good idea to do a walk around and look and make sure everything is as it should be.
